Horses are this really awesome Toronto rock type band that evolved from Nova Scotia and made its way to Hogtown. They're described as sounding like a mix between Bruce Springsteen and The Clash. Think almost The Gaslight Anthem. I had heard the band name a lot but never checked them out. Like most things, I'm glad I eventually caught on.

Y.I.R.

This movie was so funny. Michael Cera's alter ego in the movie is beyond entertaining. For those who grow weary of Michael's shy, awkward character, this movie is more or less a breath of fresh air. A lot better than I anticipated. Check it out for yourself.

Oxford Seminars

I cannot remember since this weekend, the last time I've enjoyed learning. It's so refreshing to be taught something so new and exciting but also presented with such passion and integrity. It's a class of 9 people and they are such a different bunch of collected individuals, my piers are all so awesome. Such positive vibes from this weekend and discovering new things about myself I thought were certain. I'm drowning this night in PMA.

Bad Choice NYCTO

Bad Choice, were more than likely, one of the best bands to come out the Toronto hardcore music scene. The band was basically made up of a group of friends who knew each other for years participating and supporting TOHC shows. Featuring current members of Urban Blight, ex Vicious Cycle, these 5 dudes had this project in the works for apparently 3 years. They managed to at least record a demo of selected songs before splitting up. Recorded by Jonah Falco, was a 5 song punch in the ear experience. Super traditional in the sound, lacking repetition and delivered in such a raw manner. If you don't like the demo, you hate hardcore.

John 50th B-Day Party

A couple weeks ago, I went to my best friend's dads birthday black tie event. I hung out with High School friends I don't see often and had a chance to see my friend Ryan, days before his next 6 months in Germany. We had many laughs, met a couple new people, and worked it a bit on the dance floor.
