Aside from local bands, my interest slacks on current hardcore bands, but there are at least a few records that really hold my interest throughout the years to pass. I heard Free Spirit's demo about 1 and a half to 2 years ago. I immediately liked this band because of their strong influences ie. Straight Ahead. I love the fact they are a perfect blend between Youth Crew/NYHC. Having that their singer isn't edge whatsoever and are misconcepted as an edge band is beyond cool (reminds me of "Keep It Up" in a sense). The fact that their shirts go on ebay for $30 and over is rediculous but what can you do. After long anticipation for this EP, my expectations were met and I think everyone else's too.
